What it is

BBL HERO Light Therapy works by transferring BroadBand Light (BBL) to your dermis and epidermis. This light energy targets the skin cells affected by aging and stimulates your body’s ability to regenerate fresh new skin cells.

How it Works

During the process, you will be wearing protective eyewear. The skin of the treatment region will be targeted with light energy, which is administered with the help of a handpiece.

A treatment session lasts anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the area of the body being treated. A topical anesthetic may be used in certain areas but is often not necessary. Aside from a warm sensation felt as a result of the BBL pulses, the service is pain-free.

What to Expect

  • Since it is non-invasive, there is absolutely no downtime or recovery period required when you choose to have the Forever Young BBL treatment performed. You can return to your daily routine the moment you walk out of the office, and patients often get the treatment during their lunch break before going back to work. Because of this, it is known as a lunchtime treatment.

    There is no downtime for BBL Forever Young. You can apply makeup to the skin directly after the treatment. Sunscreen should be applied daily to the skin.

    For best results, we strongly recommend that patients wait until their skin is fully healed (2 weeks) before using any of these treatments or practices:

    •Heavy physical or chemical exfoliation

    •Acne creams

    •Extremely hot or cold water

    •Shaving

    •Working out for 48 hours as well as alcohol intake should be avoided for 48 hours post treatment

  • Virtually any part of the body can be treated with BBL. You can treat your face, arms, hands, chest, and more.

  • •Avoid skin exposure for 4 weeks before and after treatment.

    •Avoid tanning beds for 4 weeks before and after treatment.

    •Artificial tanner should be completely removed from the treatment area prior to your appointment. Ideally, this should be avoided for 4 weeks prior to treatment.

  • Candidates for Forever Young BBL rarely report any side effects. The skin anomalies treated darken and flake off within a couple of weeks, leaving your skin looking brighter and younger.

    Your skin may feel warm after the treatment and redness is common. For pigmentation treatment, such as freckles and sun spots, expect for these to come to the surface and darken within 2-3 days. Such spots will start to fleck off skin and can look like pepper flakes. Do not pick at the skin! These will flake off. Skin may feel slightly drier than usual for 3-5 days.

  • Yes. A deposit of $200 is required upon scheduling. This $200 will be used toward your treatment. Your deposit will be forfeited in the cases of late cancellation (less than 48 hours notice) or no-show of appointment.
