The treatment is virtually painless and does not require topical numbing agents. It takes about 20-50 minutes, depending on the area you are looking to treat.

The treated skin may appear pink/red that should resolve within a few hours. At your consultation, we will give you more information on what to expect as well as give you an aftercare plan to follow.

There is typically no downtime. You can wear make-up and resume normal activities immediately, we recommend gentle, medical-grade skincare for best results. Your provider will give you product recommendations on the day of your appointment.

This treatment is safe for most skin types. We use a grading scale called the Fitzpatrick skin typing scale to assess your candidacy. This treatment can be done during an active breakout as it kills the bacteria hidden beneath your skin. This treatment is best for cystic, hormonal acne.

We typically recommend 3-6 treatments, but will be determined by your provider.

You cannot expose your skin to the sun, use tanning beds or use self-tanners 4 weeks prior to your appointment and 2 weeks after your appointment. We also recommend not using a retinol product 2-3 days prior to your appointment, or any products that cause your skin to react (hydroquinone, benzoyl, salicylic/glycolic acids, etc.) This will be discussed more at your free consultation and you are encouraged to call with any questions.
